JAMES ALABISO
Seeking a means to de-stress and find balance, James began his journey into yoga in 2009 and never looked back. As a practitioner of Ashtanga and vinyasa yoga, James has had the opportunity to practice and learn under some beloved teachers in the Ashtanga community including David Keil, Kristine Sandkuehler-Mensch, and Sati Chmelar, as well as attending workshops and drawing inspiration from many others. In 2010, James completed his 200 hour teacher training and is registered with Yoga Alliance. After years of practice, James decided to dive deep into his studies and graduated at the top of his class with a B.S. of Psychology at UNF. With a focus on how we react to stress and effectively build habits, this has contributed to the way James approaches teaching and life.
James believes that the practice of yoga is accessible to everyone and can be a solid platform for physical and spiritual growth. Coming to the mat gives us an opportunity to cultivate mindfulness, be compassionate with ourselves, and slow the fluctuations of the mind.
