MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing our attention into the same place as our body. Sounds easy, right? Simple perhaps, but not always easy. We live in a world of distraction, fed by gadgets and busyness and competition and consumerism and nervous systems in overdrive. And we are missing it - we are missing the sunrise and the taste of that first sip of our morning coffee. We are missing our dog’s cold nose (and kind heart). We are missing the birdsong and the warmth of the sun. We are missing ourselves and we are missing each other. Mindfulness is the practice of coming home to yourself and to the vibrant life, community and world around you.

We offer various group trainings, workshops and retreats, as well as one-on-one sessions (“sits”); reach out (bonnie@lotusyogajax.com) if you are interested in learning more about practices to ground the nervous system, to live wakefully in the present moment, to reconnect our over-thinking minds with our bodies and for turning towards and interacting with challenging stories and emotions with a curious, kind and compassionate heart.
